3 Chaparrals 3/6 Hour Endurance Trail Run 3 hour/6 hour individual and 6 hour 2-3 person relay March 29, 2025 in beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park
3 hour– $90 through Feb 28, $100 after Feb 28. $10 discount if you register for any distance of the 2025 PD trail run at the same time. 6 hour– $110 through Feb 28, $120 after Feb 28. $10 discount if you register for any distance of the 2025 PD trail run at the same time. Relay– 2 or 3 person- male, female, or mixed $220 through Feb 28, $230 after Feb 28. All relay team members must fill out the registration form and sign the waiver. First person to register and create the team pays the registration fee, and then there is no additional charge for adding members. All team members will receive a shirt and finisher award. You may not register for both an individual event and a relay.
Registration includes: 1.) The most beautiful scenic 4 mile loop in Palo Duro Canyon State Park. 2.) Enthusiastic, knowledgeable race staff and volunteers. 3.) A fully stocked aid station. Remember this is a cupless race! 4.) Finisher award. 5.) Shirt (If registered by March 15th.)

Event Description
Be a part of the inaugural 3 Chaparrals 3/6 Hour Endurance Trail Run! This is a fixed time event that will take place on a 4 mile loop course in Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Participants will record the greatest distance possible during their chosen duration. Only fully complete course loops will count towards your distance. In the case of a tie, the first person/relay to complete the distance is the winner. This is a trail run and portions of the course can be quite technical. If you leave the course at any time, (ie to go to the restroom, or get something from a drop bag), you must return to the course at the same spot you left. You are welcome to have crew support you at the start/finish area, but there are no pacers allowed.

Saturday March 29th 6:00 am Packet Pickup at start/finish area 7:00 am Race Start 10:00 am 3 Hour Race Finish, awards to follow. 1:00 pm 6 Hour Race Finish, awards to follow.
Aid Station Support
There will be one aid station at the start/finish area that will be stocked with water, electrolyte drink mix, coke, ginger ale, pickle juice, gels, and an assortment of sweet and salty snacks. This is a cupless race so please bring your own bottle, bladder, or cup. Drop bags are allowed in the designated are of start/finish.
Cutoffs
Only fully completed laps count toward your race distance and the final lap must be completed BEFORE the race finish per the above schedule, based on the event for which you are registered. Therefore, it is at your discretion if you begin a 4 mile loop that you may not be able to complete before your race ends. There will be an absolute cutoff 30 minutes prior to the end of each race (9:30 am for the 3 hour, 12:30 pm for the 6 hour), after which no runner will be allowed to begin another loop.
Relay
For the 6 hour 2-3 person relay, no relay order is needed. Your team can change out runners in the start/finish area at any time. Runners can only be changed out in the start/finish area and nowhere else on the course.
There will be NO Refunds or Roll overs for any reason, including inclement weather. Transfers will be allowed until March 25th at 11:59 pm. Drop downs and changes in relay team members may be made until packet pickup.
No RACE DAY CHANGES!!!
Please no strollers, bikes, or dogs on the trails or in the start/finish area.
